Today was our second Pursuit Community Dallas/Fort Worth Gathering! We met at Brewed in Fort Worth for brunch and had a wonderful time getting to know each other over coffee, some seriously good sweet potato fries and sandwiches. I shared with the ladies that our main goal for Pursuit is to cultivate a community of creative women that will build each other up in our competitive markets. Several of the ladies are new to DFW, so it was great for them to find new friends!
I loved hearing each ladies story and was amazed at how much we all have in common. It is so encouraging to hear from people that are going through exactly the same things and have the same creative pursuits and passions. To every story that each girl shared, I felt like saying me too, me too! We are the same!!!
We all sympathized with each other about doing our taxes and shared some helpful tips. We all swooned when one lady talked about finding the perfect lighting and understood when she talked about what it takes to not schedule weddings when planning to have a baby. We also talked about husbands, in-laws, long wedding receptions and trusting God with the direction of our businesses. I had a wonderful time and am looking forward to getting to know these fabulous ladies better!
For those of you who don’t know what Pursuit Community is, we are a Christian community of creative entrepreneurs – more specifically photographers, bloggers / writers, shop owners, calligraphers, and graphic designers – dedicated to cultivating the art of community and building the Kingdom of God as He uses us in our families, neighborhoods, and the world. We have many groups around the United States, Canada and the Philippines. If you are a woman in any of these categories and would like to learn more about Pursuit Community, visit our Facebook group page @ https://www.facebook.com/groups/pursuit31/ and check the directory for a group in your area.
