I really liked what the hill song pastor said about surrender in worship:

“Raising your hands isn’t just some charismatic thing, it is an act of surrender. In any war situation, when you raise your hands it means you give up. It’s the same when you raise your hands in worship. You are giving up and giving God control.” 

Doing things on my own gets discouraging and exhausting but with Him, He gives me peace, inner strength and wisdom in making decisions. 

Thank you God for caring for me. I need you more than ever. Without you, my life doesn’t make sense. Please fill me with passion for your kingdom and burn your image in my heart so that I cannot forget you no matter what I do. I give you everything I have; my past, my future, my whole life is yours.
