This morning I met a friend at Starbucks downtown. We had a really good conversation about overcoming obstacles and concluded that we want to live without regrets. I guess all the talk of new years resolutions have been on my mind a lot. Some of my resolutions are:
Give Sacrificially, Go on another missions trip to Kenya, Pour my life into others giving glory to God, Grow in my faith and read through the Bible this year.
While my friend was in the restroom, I was looking at the cars driving by from my window seat. About that time, a speeding car hit another car and rolled down the street in front of me. It was quickly coming towards me when it was abruptly stopped by a concrete trash bin across the sidewalk. Glass flew from the car with the sudden impact, into the window where I was sitting. Just as fast as it happened, responders had pulled a man and little girl from the car. No one was hurt, thank God, but they were really shaken up.
There was nothing that I could do, so when my friend, Sybil, came back we sat and watched for a while then left. I am very thankful that everyone was ok:) All this to say: life is fragile and we are not in controll. God is. I want to live for Him and no one else.
