One of my favorite things to do lately is to run around the kitchen bar, trying to hide from my two year old, 85 lb, Rhodesian Ridgeback-Samson…
He runs so fast on the carpeted living room side, ears flapping, tail wagging, then slides all over the stained concrete kitchen floor. He tries as hard as he can to get to me. Usually, by the time he gets out of the kitchen onto the carpet, I’m around the corner into the kitchen again. Sometimes if he sees me darting around the corner, he excitedly whimpers as if to say, “hey wait for me.”
Sam is a pretty tall dog so sometimes he will stand up on his back legs to peek over the top of the bar to see where I’m at. He’ll look at me with a big goofy grin, his tongue hanging out and the chase then resumes top speed. I always get tired first, (usually from laughing so hard, even though I think that Sam could play chase forever) and we both end up getting a drink in the kitchen. I love having Sam as my dog. He’s a lot of fun!
