Africa in my heart…

Africa is still on my heart… Everyday my mind eventually drifts to memories of children playing and singing, my dear family in faith at MBEWAU,  Maasai Corner and Chris and Lisa… I love this little girl Lydia who is a student at MBEWAU Academy in Mombasa, Kenya. This picture makes me smile!

This is my friend Jenny Jenkins who I met through Chris and Lisa Moore and Real4Christ Ministries…
She is a graduate student in the Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications department, turned her dreams into reality just a short year and a half ago when she founded the non-profit organization Imani Tumaini Upendo, meaning “faith hope love” in Swahili.
Today, she was featured in Texas A&M’s newspaper! Check out this inspirational article HERE
Your purchase of a fashionABLE scarf creates sustainable business for women in Africa.  Our commitment as a non-profit is to the development of people — fashionABLE works with women who have been exploited due to the effects of poverty.  So, when you purchase a scarf you are providing jobs, and then we send the net profits back to holistically rehabilitate more women. This is the beauty of non-profit….
Scarves provide jobs, profits provide restoration.
Last but not least, I just wanted to share this video…  I love this song and watching the kids dancing! Hope you have a great Thursday.
XOXO,
Kim
