Most of you have probably heard that David and I do something in Africa every year, but I really want you to know about this awesome organization that is so dear to my heart. Real 4 Christ Ministries is a non profit organization based in Kenya, Africa that feeds, educates, provides medical care for hundreds of needy children. They have started two churches, schools, medical clinics and drill water wells in these communities as well.

David and I have seen first hand over the past 6 years what a difference and huge impact they are making. We have seen kids with swollen bellies and hot spots on their heads from malnutrition change into smiling and thriving students, full of hope for the future. Mothers are not worried about how they will feed their kids, fathers are leaving behind lives of alcoholism to go to church. Lives are being changed and most importantly souls are being saved. Our friends Chris and Lisa Moore from San Antonio started this ministry and moved to the coastal city of Mombasa where they are serving the Kenyan people. They are an inspiration to me because they are real people that have told God that they will go wherever He leads them. I see God daily using them to change the world. If it were not for Chris and Lisa, David and I wouldn’t have gone to Kenya, fallen in love with the people there and wouldn’t be constantly obsessing over how and when we can get back to the place where we left our hearts.

That’s right, we are Obsessed. Kenya will mess you up (in a very good way). All of my friends are probably tired of hearing about “how the kids sing so beautifully and I can’t understand how such a small kid can have so much rhythm” and “did I mention that you can sponsor one of these angels?” I tell everyone that will listen that they need to meet my dear friends Justin and Jackson, that the schools are like a little piece of heaven, the colors are so much brighter in Africa, also Chai and Mandazis will be your new midnight craving.

We went to Kenya in April, but I am so excited because next weeeek!!!! we are going back to Kenya!!!!!! I can hardly contain my joy in knowing I will be in the place with the people I love so much.
