Being a Fort Worth Wedding Photographer, I am always sharing photos of other people. I am so happy documenting my friends’ special occasions, but I thought it would be fun to share a little glimpse into my life and my dog Sam is a Big part of it!

Sam is my 5 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback. I love his playful, yet gentle personality. He is the perfect dog for me and enjoy his presence every day. Here are the Top 11 reasons why Sam is the best dog ever:


1. Sam is my constant companion. He will follow me wherever I go. If I go into a room and close the door,  he will still be there when I come back out.

2. I can dress him up anyway that I want and he likes it! I have made him a lion suit, a ninja outfit and sometimes dress him in Davids clothes.

3. He will protect me if anyone tries to hurt me.

4. He’s playful and makes me laugh every day.

5. He’s a good inside dog. He doesn’t like to get his feet wet or muddy and after a walk, he’ll lay around most of the day watching animal planet.

6. He loves to GO running or walking with me and David; really the key word is go. He will wag his whole body when he hears that word.

7. He’s great with kids. They all like to chase him around the house and try to ride on his back like a pony.

8. He likes to eat healthy things… especially fresh cut veggies. Also, licking the bottom of my yogurt cup is the highlight of his day.

9. If he’s ever thirsty or out of water, he will let me know by licking the bathtub faucet, which I’ll turn on for him.

10. He loves to snuggle in the mornings.

11. He’s very smart. If I put perfume on, he will go to his kennel because he knows that I am leaving. If I put my tennis shoes on, he will run to his leash. If I ask if he wants breakfast (this can mean food anytime), he will run to the closet where his food is stored and if I say “Bang!” he falls over and plays dead
