Julia and Peter are an amazing couple. We had a great afternoon shooting their Grapevine Lake Engagement Session. David and I are really looking forward to shooting your special day. Here is Julia and Peter’s love story from her point of view.
Peter and I have pretty much known of each other our whole lives, due to mutual family friends. Once we were dating, we even came across a picture of the two of us in preschool together! However, we didn’t really get to know each other until we reconnected at our good friend’s birthday party the summer before we went to college. We then spent time together during the summer, started dating long distance (being at Texas A&M and UT), and the rest is history.
I knew Peter was the one in the way he was so confident in us from the very beginning. He never gave me a single doubt in where he wanted our relationship to go. He has so much confidence in me, in our relationship, and our future life together. He is driven, dedicated, passionate, and loyal (just to name a few). He also puts up with my love of Disney movies, turkey sandwiches, and (tries to put up with) my constant singing ;). Peter truly is my other half, and I’m so excited to spend the rest of my life with him!
Peter is a Naval Aviator, and I am so proud of all that he has and continues to accomplish! He proposed to me this past June on a beautiful beach in Pensacola, Florida, where he was for the beginning of flight school, and when I was visiting for a weekend during my marketing internship with Southwest Airlines. He brought along his brother and one of our good friends, who took gorgeous pictures of the proposal at sunset. He picked the perfect ring and the perfect scene. I said yes and picked the perfect person to spend the rest of my life with!
About the engagement picture details:
Paper Airplanes: Peter is a Naval Aviator, and he loves anything and everything that has to do with aviation! We also both love to travel.
Frisbee: Our favorite pastime is going outside and throwing the frisbee together! It’s also something that Peter taught me how to do well. I used to be absolutely terrible at it ;).
Grapevine Lake Engagement Session: We both grew up living near Grapevine Lake. On our first date, we went to the lake and watched Grapevine’s Friday night fireworks. Since then, our dates have included bike rides, walks, and drives down by the lake (and throwing the frisbee there too, of course!).
