I recently read an article asking the following question: “What makes you really happy; like the charlie brown and snoopy, throw back your head and reach for the sky because you can’t control yourself, happy?”

Here are the top 5 things that make my heart dance with JOY. What are yours?

1. Being in Kenya with the children at MBEWAU and Maasai Corner

I love going to Kenya with Real 4 Christ Ministries and working in their schools and feeding centers! I have gone 7 times and can’t imagine my life without Chris and Lisa Moore and these kids. If you are looking for an organization that is truly making a difference in peoples lives, please consider getting involved. Whether it’s through sponsoring a child, giving of your time or resources or going on a missions trip, you can make a huge impact in Kenya!

2. Helping women to feel worthy and beautiful

I have had so much fun this year working with some extraordinary women! 

I have the honor of leading the Dallas/ Fort Worth Pursuit Community group: a Christian community of creative entrepreneurs – more specifically photographers, bloggers / writers, shop owners, calligraphers, and graphic designers – dedicated to cultivating the art of community and building the Kingdom of God as He uses us in our families, neighborhoods, and the world.

3. Sharing joy and beauty through photography

There is so much joy and beauty in this life. I love being able to curate it through photography! It makes me stop and look at things a little longer: differently than the average person. I appreciate soft light, genuine smiles and tender embraces.

4. Making memories with my Darling David

In the seven years that we have been married, I have always made it a priority to make good memories. Midnight cravings for steak and shake became one of our favorite excuses to make memories lol. If we are traveling around the world or just making berry and cream parfait’s at home we are intentional about creating good times to remember.

5. Laughing ’till I cry with my friends

I am blessed to have so many good friends! There’s nothing like laughing till you cry with the friends you love 🙂
