With it being so cold out, and being stuck at home because of all the ice, I was really in the cooking mood today. I decided chicken pot pie sounded pretty good.
I use buscuit mix, carrots, corn, green beans, milk chicken and seasonings.
I cook the chicken in a pan with a little water, white wine and season it with:
poultry seasoning, garlic salt, black cracked pepper and celery seed.
After it is cooked thoroughly, I dice the chicken
add vegetables and cream of chicken
mix it, add a little more pepper and set it aside.
For the crust, I combine the milk with buscuit mix,
stir
pat out half of the dough and place it in a lightly oiled pan.
Add the chicken and vegetable mixture
pat out the remaining dough
place on top pinch the edges of the dough together.
Put in the oven for about 15- 20 minutes or until golden brown.
It comes out like this.
Ready to eat!
