I have been going through this book called storyline. It’s about finding your subplot in God’s story.

This weeks lesson has been about how God can redeem your negative turns in life.

It states:

“A person can gain a strong sense of meaning when they find a redemptive perspective toward their suffering. This can be something learned, empathy we’ve gained or some greater pain somebody has been spared because of our suffering. The negative turn still remains negative, but if we are going to heal, we must find something meaningful that came to us because of our tragedies.

God wants to take what Satan has meant for evil and redeem it for His purposes. This is a blow to Satan, to take what he has done in the world, hold it up in his face and say,”now look what the Lord has done with your evil work.“

Although my past is marked with pain, God has redeemed me. I have learned to rely on God; to base my faith on Christ alone. Everyone else can let you down, but He is faithful and good. I have been given a voice to speak truth, hardworking hands, and a discerning and compassionate heart.

I know that without my experiences, I would not be the person I am today.
